About

Larry Kiefer is a Singer-Songwriter and BMI Affiliate from Orange Park, Florida.  Originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Larry was introduced to rhythm and blues and rock and roll music at the age of 8 when his mother played Elvis Presley’s first album on the Hi-Fi stereo.  Elvis became is greatest musical influence.  Spending much of his adolescent years listening to songs written by Leiber and Stoller and the huge songbook of the 50’s and 60’s, including Motown, he developed a variety of influences but none as prominent as Elvis. Over the years, he played in musical groups and jammed with others, and was even fortunate enough to perform with early American Rhythm and Blues singer Laverne Baker while serving in the military.
