A little history

Larry arrived in Jacksonville, Florida in the late 1980’s from California, where he played with the Country Heirs.  He joined the American Dream band in Florida, playing a blend of classic rock with a touch of Elvis.  Larry established his band, Backbeat, in 1990 to play country rock and oldies favorites. By this time, his music repertoire included country standards and newer material from the likes of Ronnie Milsap, Eddie Rabbit and Neil Diamond.  Backbeat members changed a few times and the group eventually ended in the mid-1990s.  Larry spent the next two decades working on a professional career, advanced education, other hobbies, and spending time with his family.  Of course, he was always up for an occasional spot at an event but these engagements became increasingly infrequent until he returned to performing live music again after establishing the Plantation Boulevard Band.

Larry’s most recent focus has been on songwriting, acoustic guitar, and recording. His original song list continues to grow and he is now performing solo.
